Dear Fellow Artists,
We would like to
invite you to
participate in a project
that may benefit you
the artist, the
Marietta/Cobb Museum
of Art and the Cobb
Landmarks and Historical Society.
To preserve, through art, some of the historical and natural landmarks on Cobb County.
As the landscape of Cobb County changes around us, our art can create an historical record of our surroundings for later generations to enjoy.
Choose a few or as many locations in Cobb County that you would like to paint, draw, sculpt or photograph. We have compiled a long list from which to choose. You may have other ideas. The work can be plein-air (from life) or studio work done from reference photographs. If you enjoy the companionship of painting with fellow artists we will also be sending out a monthly email giving dates and locations for group “paint-outs.” We would love to see you there!
At a later date we will ask you to submit your work for a juried exhibit. We are currently working with the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art and the Cobb Landmarks and Historical Society on ways to help this benefit both them and the artist.
