Fine Art Paintings of Figures

Looking closely at the human body is often surrounded by cultural reservation. In the studio, working directly from live male and female models for over thirty years, that reservation gives way to genuine encounter.

Beyond conventional notions of beauty, these paintings explore the shared weight, tension, and quiet vulnerability common to all bodies. From direct perceptual studies to allegories of myth and modern pressure, each piece seeks the living presence beneath the skin.

Unless otherwise indicated, originals of these works are either sold or on exhibition. However, limited edition giclée prints of most of these works are available upon request. Contact Shane McDonald: (770) 218-0676 or E-mail: shane@shanemcdonaldstudios.com
