Shane's landscapes are painted in the studio or en plein air. He has painted in the mountains of North Georgia, the beaches of Florida, the deserts of the Southwest, and the streets of Europe. His landscapes are painted in oil, watercolor, pastel, and mixed media.

Shane offers ongoing painting classes year-round on Monday nights, Thursday and Friday mornings, and Sunday afternoons, along with periodic workshops in figure drawing, portrait painting, and plein air painting. Drawing and painting classes are also taught by Allison Doke and Lisa Duncan, and artists can join open life drawing and figure painting sessions with live models on Sunday evenings.
